"Passion for traveling through the United States, Europe, the Far East, and the Middle East has given me the inspiration for my paintings. The scenes I create are taken from places I have visited that have left a lasting impression on me. While traveling, I am able to sit down on location with my pastels and sketch the atmosphere, mood and lighting of a landscape. These sketches, along with photographs taken at the time, enable me to infuse the full, vibrant, spontaneity of these scenes into my final studio paintings." - Lori Surdut Weinberg
